2nd Samuel 22:3 & 7

The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. ... In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. (2 Samuel 22:3,7|KJV-http://b-bq.eu/2Sam/22_3,7/KJV)

God's Purpose for Us is not Wrath but Salvation

1st Thessalonians 5:9
For God’s purpose for us is not wrath, but salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (BBE)

God’s purpose for us is not wrath, but He wants us to obtain salvation through Jesus Christ. 1st Thessalonians 1:10 states: For God’s purpose for us is not wrath, but salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (BBE). 1st Thessalonians 3:3 states: So that no man might be moved by these troubles; because you see that these things are part of God’s purpose for us (BBE). Exodus 9:16 states: But, for this very reason, I have kept you from destruction, to make clear to you my power, and so that my name may be honoured through all the earth (BBE). Proverbs 16:4 states; The Lord has made everything for his purpose, even the sinner for the day of evil (BBE).
God has everything for His purpose. Matthew 26:24 states: The Son of man goes, even as the Writings say of him: but a curse is on that man through whom the Son of man is given up; it would have been well for that man if he had never come into the world (BBE). Acts 1:20 states: For in the book of Psalms it says, Let his house be waste, and let no man be living in it: and, Let his position be taken by another (BBE). Acts 13:48 states; And the Gentiles, hearing this, were glad and gave glory to the word of God: and those marked out by God for eternal life had faith (BBE).

Romans 9:11-23 states: (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory (KJV). 2nd Timothy 2:19-20 states: But God’s strong base is unchanging, having this sign, The Lord has knowledge of those who are his: and, Let everyone by whom the name of the Lord is named be turned away from evil. Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but others of wood and earth, and some which are honoured and some without honour (BBE).

God is unchanging. 1st Peter 2:8 states: And, A stone of falling, a rock of trouble; the word is the cause of their fall, because they go against it, and this was the purpose of God (BBE). Jude 1;4 states: For certain men have come among you secretly, marked out before in the holy Writings for this evil fate, men without the fear of God, turning his grace into an unclean thing, and false to our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (BBE). There are people out there who don’t respect God or fear Him. Romans 11:7 states: What then? That which Israel was searching for he did not get, but those of the selection got it and the rest were made hard (BBE). Romans 11:30 states; For as you, in time past, were not under the rule of God, but now have got mercy through their turning away (BBE).
At a certain time continuum in your life you were walking with sinners and sinning but now you have got mercy and following the right path of Jesus Christ. 2nd Thessalonians 2:14-15 states: But it is right for us to give praise to God at all times for you, brothers, loved by the Lord, because it was the purpose of God from the first that you might have salvation, being made holy by the Spirit and by faith in what is true: And in this purpose he gave you a part through the good news of which we were the preachers, even that you might have part in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ (BBE).

It is right for us to give praise to God. It is God’s purpose that we get salvation. God is merciful. 1st Timothy 1:13-16 states; Though I had said violent words against God, and done cruel acts, causing great trouble: but I was given mercy, because I did it without knowledge, not having faith; And the grace of our Lord was very great, with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. It is a true saying, in which all may put their faith, that Christ Jesus came into the world to give salvation to sinners, of whom I am the chief: But for this reason I was given mercy, so that in me, the chief of sinners, Jesus Christ might make clear all his mercy, as an example to those who in the future would have faith in him to eternal life (BBE). The grace of God is great. Christ came into the world to give salvation to sinners. 2nd Timothy 2:10 states: But I undergo all things for the saints, so that they may have salvation in Christ Jesus with eternal glory (BBE). 1st Peter 2:10 states: In the past you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; then there was no mercy for you, but now mercy has been given to you (BBE). 2nd Peter 1:1 states: Simon Peter, a servant and Apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who with us have a part in the same holy faith in the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ (BBE).

In conclusion, 1st Thessalonians 5:9 tells us that God’s purpose for us is not wrath, but He wants us to obtain salvation through Jesus Christ. We must realize it that Jesus Christ came to the world to save those that are lost. Renew your mind and return to the Lord. Thank God for every thing He has done for you in the past is doing in the present and will do in the future. If you follow righteousness you will find life, righteousness and honor. Glorify God, thank him for all the things he has done for you and will do in the future.

Follow God's Commandments

Whoever then goes against the smallest of these laws, teaching men to do the same, will be named least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who keeps the laws, teaching others to keep them, will be named great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19 (BBE)

If you go against any of the commandments of God, then you are in serious trouble. Trying to belittle any of God’s commandments isn’t advisable. Trying to convince others to belittle any of God’s commandments isn’t highly advisable. Deuteronomy 27:26 states: Cursed is he who does not take this law to heart to do it. And let all the people say, So be it (BBE). Psalms 119:6 states: Then I would not be put to shame, as long as I have respect for all your teaching (BBE). Psalms 119:128 states: Because of it I keep straight in all things by your orders; and I am a hater of every false way (BBE).
Hate the false way, choose the true way, indeed. That is the way to go. Follow the light. Galatians 3;10-13 states: For all who are of the works of the law are under a curse: because it is said in the Writings, A curse is on everyone who does not keep on doing all the things which are ordered in the book of the law. Now that no man gets righteousness by the law in the eyes of God, is clear; because, The upright will be living by faith. And the law is not of faith; but, He who does them will have life by them. Christ has made us free from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us: because it is said in the Writings, A curse on everyone who is put to death by hanging on a tree (BBE).
Jesus Christ has set you free from the curse of the law! He died for us and was resurrected. James 2:10 states: For anyone who keeps all the law, but makes a slip in one point, is judged to have gone against it all (BBE). Matthew 23:23 states: A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! for you make men give a tenth of all sorts of sweet-smelling plants, but you give no thought to the more important things of the law, righteousness, and mercy, and faith; but it is right for you to do these, and not to let the others be undone (BBE). Jesus said taht to the scribes and Pharisees. Deuteronomy 12:32 states: You are to keep with care all the words I give you, making no addition to them and taking nothing from them (BBE). Luke 11:42 states: You are to keep with care all the words I give you, making no addition to them and taking nothing from them (BBE).
Follow all the commandments of God to the letter. Matthew 15:3-6 states; And in answer he said to them, Why do you, yourselves, go against the word of God on account of the teaching which has been handed down to you? For God said, Give honour to your father and mother: and, He who says evil of father or mother will be put to death. But you say, If a man says to his father or his mother, That by which you might have had profit from me is given to God; There is no need for him to give honour to his father. And you have made the word of God without effect because of your teaching (BBE).
Give honor to your father and mother. Matthew 23:16-22 states: A curse is on you, blind guides, who say, Whoever takes an oath by the Temple, it is nothing; but whoever takes an oath by the gold of the Temple, he is responsible. You foolish ones and blind: which is greater, the gold, or the Temple which makes the gold holy? And, Whoever takes an oath by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever takes an oath by the offering which is on it, he is responsible. You blind ones: which is greater, the offering, or the altar which makes the offering holy? He, then, who takes an oath by the altar, takes it by the altar and by all things on it. And he who takes an oath by the Temple, takes it by the Temple and by him whose house it is. And he who takes an oath by heaven, takes it by the seat of God, and by him who is seated on it (BBE).
You have turned to the wrong path. Malachi 2:8-9 states: But you are turned out of the way; you have made the law hard for numbers of people; you have made the agreement of Levi of no value, says the Lord of armies. And so I have taken away your honour and made you low before all the people, even as you have not kept my ways, and have given no thought to me in using the law (BBE) Romans 3:8 states: Let us not do evil so that good may come (a statement which we are falsely said by some to have made), because such behaviour will have its right punishment (BBE).
Don’t speak falsehood. One falsehood will lead to another and you will eventually be found out. Romans 6:1 states: What may we say, then? are we to go on in sin so that there may be more grace (BBE). Don’t think that you can just sin all you want. Romans 6:15 states: What then? are we to go on in sin because we are not under law but under grace? Let it not be so (BBE). 1st Timothy 6:3-4 states: If any man gives different teaching, not in agreement with the true words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the teaching which is in agreement with true religion, He has an over-high opinion of himself; being without knowledge, having only an unhealthy love of questionings and wars of words, from which come envy, fighting, cruel words, evil thoughts (BBE).
When you are full of pride, you will be highly argumentative, cruel and filled with evil thoughts. For those reasons being humble is vital. Revelation 2:14-15 states: But I have some things against you, because you have with you those who keep the teaching of Balaam, by whose suggestion Balak made the children of Israel go out of the right way, taking food which was offered to false gods, and going after the desires of the flesh. And you have those who keep the teaching of the Nicolaitans (BBE). Revelation 2:20 states; But I have this against you, that you let the woman Jezebel say she is a prophet and give false teaching, making my servants go after the desires of the flesh and take food offered to false gods (BBE). Matthew 11:11 states: Truly I say to you, Among the sons of women there has not been a greater than John the Baptist: but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he (BBE). 1st Samuel 2:30 states: For this reason the Lord God of Israel has said, Truly I did say that your family and your father’s people would have their place before me for ever: but now the Lord says, Let it not be so; I will give honour to those by whom I am honoured, and those who have no respect for me will be of small value in my eyes (BBE).
God loves and will bless those who honor and respect Him, but those who don’t honor or respect Him will be in very serious trouble. Matthew 28:20 states: Teaching them to keep all the rules which I have given you: and see, I am ever with you, even to the end of the world (BBE). That is what Jesus said to the disciples before He went to God. Acts 1:1 states: I have given an earlier account, O Theophilus, of all the things which Jesus did, and of his teaching from the first (BBE). Romans 13:8-10 states: Be in debt for nothing, but to have love for one another: for he who has love for his neighbour has kept all the law. And this, Do not be untrue in married life, Do not put to death, Do not take what is another’s, Do not have desire for what is another’s, and if there is any other order, it is covered by this word, Have love for your neighbour as for yourself. Love does no wrong to his neighbour, so love makes the law complete (BBE).
Love one another. Galatians 5:14-24 states: For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (KJV).
The fruit of the Spirit is love, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, etc. Philippians 3:17-18 states: Brothers, take me as your example, and take note of those who are walking after the example we have given. For there are those, of whom I have given you word before, and do so now with sorrow, who are haters of the cross of Christ (BBE). Philippians 4:8-9 states: For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things. The things which came to you by my teaching and preaching, and which you saw in me, these things do, and the God of peace will be with you (BBE).
Listen to the good gospel news and follow Christ with all your heart, voice, soul, mind and strength. 1st Thessalonians 2:10-12 states: You are witnesses, with God, how holy and upright and free from all evil was our way of life among you who have faith; Even as you saw how, like a father with his children, we were teaching and comforting you all, and giving witness, So that your lives might be pleasing to God, who has given you a part in his kingdom and his glory (BBE).
Lead a life that would be pleasing in the sight of God. 1st Thessalonians 4:1-7 states: And last of all, the prayer which we make to you from our heart and in the name of the Lord Jesus, is this: that as we made clear to you what sort of behaviour is pleasing to God, as in fact you are doing now, so you will go on in these ways, but more and more. Because you have in mind the orders we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For the purpose of God for you is this: that you may be holy, and may keep yourselves from the desires of the flesh; So that every one of you may keep his body holy and in honour; Not in the passion of evil desires, like the Gentiles, who have no knowledge of God; And that no man may make attempts to get the better of his brother in business: for the Lord is the judge in all these things, as we said to you before and gave witness. Because it is God’s purpose that our way of life may be not unclean but holy (BBE).
God wants us to lead a holy life. He doesn’t want us to fall for evil desires. 1st Timothy 4:11-12 states: Let these be your orders and your teaching. Let no one make little of you because you are young, but be an example to the church in word, in behaviour, in love, in faith, in holy living (BBE). 1st Timothy 6:11 states; But you, O man of God, keep yourself from these things, and go after righteousness, religion, faith, love, a quiet mind, gentle behaviour (BBE).
Keep yourself form evil things and be righteous, have a quiet mind, gentle behavior and have faith in God. Titus 2:8-10 states: Saying true and right words, against which no protest may be made, so that he who is not on our side may be put to shame, unable to say any evil of us. Servants are to be under the authority of their masters, pleasing them in all things, without argument; Not taking what is not theirs, but giving clear signs of their good faith, in all things doing credit to the teaching of God our Saviour (BBE). Do things that pleases our Savior Jesus Christ. Titus 3:8 states; This is a true saying; and it is my desire that you may give certain witness about these things, so that those who have had faith in God may give attention to good works. These things are good and of profit to men (BBE).
With your faith in Christ also must be good works. Matthew 19:28 states: And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that in the time when all things are made new, and the Son of man is seated in his glory, you who have come after me will be seated on twelve seats, judging the twelve tribes of Israel (BBE). Matthew 20:26 states: Let it not be so among you: but if anyone has a desire to become great among you, let him be your servant (BBE). Daniel 12:3 states: And those who are wise will be shining like the light of the outstretched sky; and those by whom numbers have been turned to righteousness will be like the stars for ever and ever (BBE).
When you have wisdom from God, you will shine like the light and if you turn bad people to righteousness that will be great for you. Luke 1:15 states: For he will be great in the eyes of the Lord; he will not take wine or strong drink; and he will be full of the Spirit of God from his birth (BBE). That tells us of an angel who spoke those words to Zechariah about his son John the Baptist. Luke 9:48 states: And said to them, Whoever gives honour to this child in my name, gives honour to me: and whoever gives honour to me, gives honour to him who sent me: for whoever is least among you all, that man is great (BBE). Luke 22:24-26 states: And there was an argument among them about which of them was the greatest. And he said, The kings of the Gentiles are lords over them, and those who have authority are given names of honor. But let it not be so with you; but he who is greater, let him become like the younger; and he who is chief, like a servant (BBE). Be humble. 1st Peter 5:4 states: And at the coming of the chief Keeper of the sheep, you will be given the eternal crown of glory (BBE).
In conclusion, Matthew 5:19 tells us that when you have wisdom from God, you will shine like the light and if you turn bad people to righteousness that will be great for you. With your faith in Christ also must be good works. If you go against any of the commandments of God, then you are in serious trouble. Trying to belittle any of God’s commandments isn’t advisable. Trying to convince others to belittle any of God’s commandments isn’t highly advisable. Listen to the good gospel news and follow Christ with all your heart, voice, soul, mind and strength. Thank God for every thing He has done for you in the past is doing in the present and will do in the future. If you follow righteousness you will find life, righteousness and honor. Glorify God, thank him for all the things he has done for you and will do in the future.

Walk Wisely

Proverbs 28:26
He whose faith is in himself is foolish; but everyone walking wisely will be kept safe.

You are foolish when you put faith in yourself, you must put faith in Christ. Trust the Lord with your whole heart, mind, soul and strength. If you walk safely and righteously, you will certainly be safe. Proverbs 3:5 states: Put all your hope in God, not looking to your reason for support (BBE). Put all your hope in Jesus Christ, don’t look to your own reason for support. Rely on God for support. 2nd Kings 8:13 states; And Hazael said, How is it possible that your servant, who is only a dog, will do this great thing? And Elisha said, The Lord has made it clear to me that you will be king over Aram (BBE). Jeremiah 17:9 states; The heart is a twisted thing, not to be searched out by man: who is able to have knowledge of it (BBE)? Mark 7:21-23 states: Because from inside, from the heart of men, come evil thoughts and unclean pleasures, The taking of goods and of life, broken faith between husband and wife, the desire of wealth, wrongdoing, deceit, sins of the flesh, an evil eye, angry words, pride, foolish acts: All these evil things come from inside, and make the man unclean (BBE).
Evil things cause havoc in your life. Mark 14:27-31 states: And Jesus said to them, You will all be turned away from me: for it is in the Writings, I will put the keeper of the sheep to death, and the sheep will be put to flight. But after I have come back from the dead, I will go before you into Galilee. But Peter said to him, Though the others may be turned away from you, I will not. And Jesus said to him, Truly, I say to you that you, today, even this night, before the cock’s second cry, will say three times that you have no knowledge of me. But he said with passion, If I have to be put to death with you, I will not be false to you. And they all said the same (BBE). Those verses are when Jesus is talking to the disciples before he was arrested. He gave them prophecy of the fact that they will all flee when he is arrested and that He will come back from death and visit them in Galilee. They probably thought He was kidding. He also told Simon Peter of the the fact that he will betray Him, that he will tell people that he doesn’t know Jesus. Some people like Peter will boast that they will do something, but when the time comes to do it, they don’t do it. After Jesus told Simon Peter that he will betray Him, Peter said that he wouldn’t do it. He said he would die for Jesus. In reality, when he was asked by some people whether he knew Jesus, he denied knowing Jesus. Romans 8:7 states; Truly I say to you, If a man keeps my word he will never see death (BBE). Job 28:28 states; And he said to man, Truly the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to keep from evil is the way to knowledge (BBE).
Wisdom is very important in life, that is fear of the Lord and to keep away form evil is essential indeed. 2nd Timothy 3:15-17 states; And that from the time when you were a child, you have had knowledge of the holy Writings, which are able to make you wise to salvation, through faith in Christ Jesus. Every holy Writing which comes from God is of profit for teaching, for training, for guiding, for education in righteousness: So that the man of God may be complete, trained and made ready for every good work (BBE). James 1:5 states; But if any man among you is without wisdom, let him make his request to God, who gives freely to all without an unkind word, and it will be given to him (BBE).
If you lack wisdom, ask God to give you wisdom. James 3:13-18 states: Who has wisdom and good sense among you? let him make his works clear by a life of gentle wisdom. But if you have bitter envy in your heart and the desire to get the better of others, have no pride in this, talking falsely against what is true. This wisdom is not from heaven, but is of the earth and the flesh and the Evil One. For where envy is, and the desire to get the better of others, there is no order, but every sort of evil-doing. But the wisdom which is from heaven is first holy, then gentle, readily giving way in argument, full of peace and mercy and good works, not doubting, not seeming other than it is. And the fruit of righteousness is planted in peace for those who make peace (BBE).
In conclusion: You are foolish when you put faith in yourself, you must put faith in Christ. Trust the Lord with your whole heart, mind, soul and strength. If you walk safely and righteously, you will certainly be safe. Thank God for every thing He has done for you in the past is doing in the present and will do in the future. If you follow righteousness you will find life, righteousness and honor. Glorify God, thank him for all the things he has done for you and will do in the future.
